Weight Watchers: Body Weight and Exercise
Exercise alone will not help in losing adequate weight, because even though it does burn calories, it does not burn most of them. A person needs to walk 9-10 miles, or vacuum for three hours, to be able to lose the five calories per body pound they need to in one day. The amount of exercise to be able to lose five calories in one day is humanly impossible to keep, and overexerting yourself with just exercise is harmful to the body. People not only overexert themselves with intense exercise, but they also don’t balance their calorie intake with their calorie burning. People tend to eat more in calories than they are able to take off that same day. If a man of 170 pounds ate a bagel with cream cheese or butter, it would take that man an hour on the treadmill to burn off the calories consumed in that one bagel. The Weight Watchers Online program calculates your points based on calories, and this will help in tracking your intake so you can burn the right amount of calories.
